Jonathan took his birthday money to Petsmart ...
and found this little gecko....he (or she) is very cute and super friendly!

ReplyDeleteLooks like Jonathan is having a great time with his new pet. We had hermit crabs a couple of years ago, and that's about as adventurous as I hope we get :p
So cute. I am waiting for the day we have to add to our pets. My hubby is a former science teacher and with two boys (plus one coming) I know it is inevitable! Love the last pic.

ReplyDeleteI've never seen a gecko other than a green one. Yours is cool! When we lived in Hawaii the guys all used to like having the gecko latch onto their ears and they'd wear them like earrings. I always wondered how that didn't hurt.

ReplyDeletei am a pre-k teacher and have had geckos in my classroom for the last 5 years, until this year. My last gecko went blind and I had to hand feed him everyday. I must say it was a battle to feed him/her each day. When he passed I decided that next year it will be goldfish. I love to have animals in my room so my students can learn to take care of them. Maybe in a couple of years I will get another because I really like them.
