B is for "Bullet"...as in Magic!

We got it for Christmas 2 years ago! The Magic Bullet! We used it a few times, then put it up in the pantry. What were we thinking. It is wonderful for making smoothies. Lately we have been leaving it out on our counter where it is easy to get to and available for use.
I bought several bags of frozen fruit, like strawberries, blueberries and peaches. It is best to let them thaw a little before adding them in with some yogurt and milk. Easy and delicious....and super good for you too.
My favorite smoothie right now is the Peanut butter, Banana and Jelly smoothie!
A couple of spoons of plain or vanilla yogurt, 1/2 banana, a few fresh or frozen berries, and a spoon full of peanut butter. Blend until smooth!
Anyone making smoothies with veges? I want to try some Spinach? Any suggestions?
Enjoy your day!

To drink more water...

Get a Tervis!
I am not a huge fan of water.
To be truthful, I drink it because it is cheap, not because it is better for me!
I do know that it is much more beneficial for me than the sweet tea or Diet Pepsi that I prefer and for that reason, I need to drink more and more of it.

The greatest thing about the Tervis tumbler is that the water tastes better!
There is no explanation for this really....but it is absolutely true.
The ice stays frozen, the water stays cold, the cup doesn't sweat or leak or drip or ooze.
The straws don't have a funny taste like plastic or soap or anything wierd.

It is possible that other drinks taste better in a Tervis too, but my Tervis is just for water.

Your Tervis tumbler can say a lot about you.
Mine is very simple...just my last initial.
My friend has one with an Ohio State Symbol....and another with a doggie paw.

There is a Tervis website where you're sure to find one that fits your style.
Mine came from Bed, Bath and Beyond...
they have a much smaller selection, but you can use your 20% off coupon.

So, if one of your goals for this year is to drink less soda or drink more water....
you've gotta get a Tervis!
Let me know if you do!

Another take on Shutterfly...

I'm sure you have seen quite a few posts raving about the fabulous Holiday cards that Shutterfly has to offer.
Probably because Shutterfly is rewarding bloggers with 50 free cards for posting about their products. What a great promotion! Go here today to find the details.

Everyone's favorite Christmas cards are the ones with photos.
Most likely, several of the cards you have already received this year have that cute little logo on the back.
As much as I love their huge selection of  Christmas cards, I thought I'd write about some of the other really neat products that I found when doing my research for this post.

Things like....

Address labels.
For your Christmas cards.
For everyday use...or to put inside a book that you loan to a friend.
For your son's birthday party invite!
To announce a move!
To announce a baby!
And another Christmas label...because it's so cute!

Thank You Cards.
My daughter's volleyball team is getting sponsors for their team this year.
They'll be sending Thank You cards throughout the season.
The team photo on the front would be perfect, don't you think?

What a great idea, huh?
A folded card would be best so that they could write a personalized message on the inside!

Luggage Tags and other goodies.
I am thinking about how cute this would be on a little girls dance bag....
or a little boys baseball bag...or a big girls volleyball bag, of course.
A deck of cards...
or a family photo puzzle for the lake house.
I can just see everyone now...looking for the pieces
to make themselves appear inside the puzzle.

And in case that isn't enough...
I could also tell you about the really fun photo book I made a few years back.
It was a gift to Uncle Michael and Aunt Karen... full of photos and memories of our trip to Disney that we enjoyed because they were kind enough to share their time-share points.

And I could really go on and on about how happy I am to have a safe place online to store and organize my photos. My computer is not a spring chicken anymore and anytime it starts to suffer an attack...I am at peace knowing my memories are safe.

So...if you thought Shutterfly was just for Christmas cards...well, now you know. It's not!

But just in case you are still searching for the perfect photo card for this holiday season....
may I suggest this one.
Or maybe...
There are just too many to choose.

If not now...then visit soon at http://www.shutterfly.com/.

Have a great day!

An ipad review...totally unexpected!

Earlier today, I took my daughter for her regularly scheduled orthodontist appointment.  Normally the appointments last just over 20 min. at the most, however, today was scheduled to be about 1 hour due to some extensive work that needed to be done.
As I sat down with my coffee and reached for the latest issue of Southern Living magazine, the receptionist called my name. She asked me if I would like to "play" with one of the new ipads that the orthodontist had purchased for the parents who would be waiting longer than usual.

Well, I have to say, I wasn't quite sure whether I wanted to "play" or not.  I have several friends who have iphones and I have not been very successful when using them to search the internet. I'm sure it is because I have not taken the time to learn ...and after all, I am not writing to review the iphone.

So ...after a very short lesson from the receptionist, I decided to give the ipad a try.  Within minutes I was reading posts from all of my favorite blogs. I was touching the links to go in and out of websites and posts.  I was able to turn the ipad from vertical to horizontal ....and the pages turned with it. The  pages loaded very quickly and the images were crisp. It was the most fun I have had reading my daily blogs so far.

The more difficult part was when it came to signing in and adding comments. I had to change from ABC's to 123's often to access the keys I needed, and I had to touch each key with my pointer  so it took longer to type a sentence. In spite of these things, I was able to work it out and no comment was left unwritten.

I was sitting beside the coffee and cookie bar (we have the most fabulous orthodontist) so several people came by to grab a snack. I could see them admiring my techy gadget and I felt very cutting edge. When my daughter's appointment was finished (a bit earlier than expected) I returned the ipad to the receptionist who had given it to me. I mentioned that the next time we come in (even for a quick visit),  I  will be skipping the magazines and going right for the ipad!

Even though I will not be owning an ipad of my own any time soon....I will be looking forward to taking my children to the orthodontist!

disclaimer:  Of course, no one asked me to write this review. I just thought it might be fun!
