Cable knit and leggings...and a fun Wal-Mart find!

Here...In North Carolina, the temperature has been all over the place. In the last several days, you could have worn your flip flops and tank tops....and 3 days later your fleece leggings and wool coat.

The air conditioning may have been on inside, but I was happy in my cable knit and cozy leggings. It is winter and Christmas and I do not want to wear my flip flops!
{Leggings - Kohls, Plaid shirt and knit sweater - Old Navy, Boots - Target}
{Sweater - Target, Head band- Wal Mart}

On Sunday, we were running a few Christmas errands and we made a quick stop in Wal-Mart.
Emily talked me into buying her this fun head band. I am so glad she did!  The next day when I wore it, I got 2 random compliments and one "where did you get your cute headband?"
              {Top- Wal-Mart, Cardigan - NY and Co., Jeans - Target, Boots - Rack Room}

I love to shop for clothes in Target, but I'm all about Wal-Mart prices.... mostly for pet supplies and shampoo and such. Sometimes, when I have a few minutes, I venture into the clothing aisles. One day last summer, I found this cute tank top for around 8 bucks. Wearing it under a cardigan with jeans and boots makes it last throughout the year.

I'm looking forward to more cold weather...like hat and glove wearing, snow man making cold weather. I know many of you have some...send it our way!
Happy Wednesday and enjoy the season!
We are celebrating the coming of our King!
Enjoy!

Every day, it's jeans and boots...

...and something cute that I find in Emily's closet!
 My daughter, Emily buys the cutest clothes ...with her own money. Last week I gave her some cash to buy  more so that we would have more to share! Its like having a personal shopper and stylist at the same time. I watch to see what she wears...then I wear the same a similar outfit a few days week later.

When  Zac, my youngest, saw me in this outfit, he said, "Are you going to the farm?"
As in...What farm? I wish!
Plaid is fun, like farm style hay rides and line dancing in the barn fun, right?
Add sunglasses and a messy bun and the outfit is complete!
Shirt - Lands End (by way of Good Will), Vest - Gap, same jeans and boots!
And then to be extra comfy these days....instead of jeans and boots,
 I wear sweats and Christmas socks!  Snoopy Christmas socks!

Would you ever post your comfy clothes on WIWW?
Happy Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!

WIWW...summer dresses in disguise!

Do you ever wear summer dresses on into the fall and winter?
Sometimes, you can get away with it.

Last week, I had a committee meeting at work. When not wearing scrubs, there is a very strict dress code enforced. I turned the dress into (kind of) a skirt. It worked.
This week, I had errands to run and I was determined to wear something other than work out pants and a sweat shirt. I found this small dress in Emily's closet, added the leggings from her dresser drawer and added my own sweater. Done.

Summer dresses in disguise! I'm not the only one doing it. I got the idea from some of you!
Oh... the inspiration!
Happy Wednesday!

WIWW~ Turquoise Pants!

My daughter's room has the best light and the biggest mirror. It has been cleaner than usual this week. I can actually see the floor!

I found some of Emily's pants in the bag marked for Goodwill. I tried them on and well...they fit.  But, what do you wear with turquoise pants?

So....What do you think?

1.) Grey sweater and creme scarf with none other than orange earrings.
2.) Black and brown stripes with brown boots.
3.) Grey sweater and multi-scarf with black boots.

Thanks for putting up with the blurry photos. My hands must be shaky. I need to get back to my fancy camera...or recruit a photographer from around these parts.
Happy Wednesday fashionable ones!
