More looking back...Ice skating and falling down.

One of our favorite holiday traditions is ice skating in Uptown. We go every year on the day after Christmas. This year, we changed it up a bit and went a few days earlier. The weather was beautiful. A good time was had by all...well most. Uncle Michael had ankle trouble from the first spin around the rink, but he was such a good sport hanging in there as long as he could! It usually takes me about 15 minutes of hanging on to the wall before I remember how to skate. Watching other people remember how to skate can be pretty funny too.

It wasn't until we had finished skating~
that my lovely daughter told me that my antlers had been looking sad all day!

Or maybe they fell sad when I fell right on my rear end trying to keep up with Jonathan.

So...we don't use the video mode on that camera very much at all. The last 10 seconds are of us trying to figure out to turn it off.  And I don't have time to learn how to turn the video the right way! Too funny!
And it's crazy to see us in warm weather clothes....'cause now it is a super chilly 21 degrees outside.  Hope you are warm and cozy tonight!

I'm finally getting back to class for alphabe-Thursday! Join the fun at Jenny Matlock's blog!

  4. I haven't been ice skating in years. I dare say, you won't be getting me on the ice these days. I was never any good at it to start with and now...well, let's just say it's in my best interest to not attempt such a youthful activity. Incidentally, we're in the freezer, too this week after a mild Christmas. It just goes to show you, it really is winter after all.

  7. I was cracking up at the video skills! I don't think I've ever gone ice skating...and Brady can hardly stand up in roller skates...so skating probably is not in our future! :(
