This is what became of them!

In the spring of this year...I planted a few little impatiens....and this is what became of them.
Now I am about to pull them out and replace them with a few little pansies.  I guess we'll see what happens with those next!

Around here, planting pansies means that FALL is coming.
I'm glad! Are you?
Have a great holiday weekend!

  3. I can't believe you are going to get rid of those flowers? Replace them? No way!! Mine have to be brown and crunchy before I dig them out! We see lots of mums around here this time of year...I LOVE fall!

  4. Wow, Jen, what a green thumb you have! I love impatiens too, so lush and pretty ... when we convert to Fall plantings (usually about a week after Labor Day depending on the heat), we always switch to mums ... but now you've got me thinking about switching it up with some pansies instead, you caught me just in time ;-)

  5. Pansies might be a nice mix with the mums I usually plant this time of year.

I have to say that I am having a hard time embracing the idea of fall. . .because it means winter is just around the corner. . .I don't like winter!

  7. Jennifer, those flowers are beautiful!! What are you going to do with the impatiens when you pull them out and put the pansies in? You can give them to me. Just bring them to work on Saturday! :) I love Fall!! It is my favorite season.

  8. You're good to pull the impatiens out before they look "leggy and ugly" I leave them and then replace with pansies. Yours are beautiful! Have a nice weekend!

  9. Gosh! I don't think I could pull those out. They look like they're at their peak!

Around here they say to plant pansies in October even though they're out at the nurseries earlier.

  10. Yes! I am rushing things a bit. It will be October before they are actually planted, but only 'cause they're not in the stores yet!

  11. I love impatiens - they're so satisfying! And yes - I am looking forward to fall. Love summer, but there's something about that crisp fall air...

  12. Beautiful flowers - what a huge difference!

I wish I could say that I am glad that Fall is coming, but I live in the land of Endless Summers and we don't have "seasons" here. :\ I love seeing colorful foliage from others though...so I've learned to live vicariously through them.

    Have a lovely weekend!

  14. I love me some impaitents...my most favorite flower to plant. For 8 years I planted them in front of my house and had hanging baskets. If I forgot to water them and they looked a little tired they always came back so big and strong and beautiful. Then sadly I moved to the desert and nothing grows here {tear}...yours look great! Good job!
