As the school year comes to a close, artwork that has been displayed in classrooms and hallways begins to come home. For years, I have collected the artwork with intentions of framing it, however I always felt that I had to pay big bucks to have a frame shop do the work. Finally, this year, with inspiration from a friend, I framed the previous years artwork myself with $4 frames found at Michael's and AC Moore. It is definitely not perfect, but I am so happy with my little art gallery on the walls of the stairway leading to the bonus room.
This is where the artwork was kept before it made it to the walls.
I used black and white frames, acid free colored paper for the mats and scrapbooking tape to secure the artwork in place.
I am excited to see what comes home in the next few weeks that will be added to my collection!
Happy Spring!
