Brain age?

Emily loves puzzle books.
Last night when I was cleaning out her suitcase and volleyball bag...
I came across one of her many Brain Games books.
The front of the book claims "to lower your brain age in minutes a day."
I thought I'd try a few puzzles before heading off to bed.
Amoung the crosswords and Sudoku, scramblers and anagrams, I found puzzles like these...

So...does your brain feel younger yet?
Or do you feel really confused like me?
Enjoy...if you like this sort of thing!
Here are the answers....

  1. My brain would need that sort of exercise. It feels foggy since I had my first baby..or maybe it's the sleep deprivation ;o)
I play brain games on my kids DS, they're fun

  2. Ugh, I feel like I am taking a standardized test!

  3. I don't have the patience (or brains!) for puzzles! Just reading that first one makes my head spin!

  4. I try to avoid stuff like this because it just frustrates the heck out of me if I don't get it.
My speed is: Where's Waldo and Eye Spy.

  5. OK, I am confused. Did I really graduate from college?! Yikes, I'd better get one of those and get busy!

Your daughter is such a beauty. Do you worry about having to lock her in a tower? Look out those boys will be calling soon...

  6. OMG, my daughter had to do one of these types of puzzles EVRY SINGLE morning of 5th grade and their "warm up" (it actually had a catchier name , but I forgot it - see how bad I am?!) ... at parent's night, the kids got to choose one for their parents to do ... let's just say, I didn't exactly make her proud that night!!

  7. It has been ages since I've solved a "word problem", yikes! I've heard great things about those puzzle-type books; apparently, I need to exercise my own brain, because I barely had the patience to sit down and try to figure out the questions you posted above. Not a good sign!

BTW, that is a great photo of Emily. She is gorgeous!

  8. I love that kind of stuff! I wish my girls did too. I am so impressed Emily CHOOSES to do logic puzzles. She is one smart cookie!

  9. Good for Emily!
I agree with Kerri...if only I could slow down long enough to actually do a brain puzzle, I'm sure it would help! I USED to love them...before kids that is!
    Have a happy night

  10. Oh my gosh, I used to love these kinds of puzzles too. Now they make my head hurt, I think it's pregnancys fault. :)

Good for her, keep that brain young! :)
