Uncle Michael and Aunt Karen came to stay the weekend! The best part was that they came in town on Thursday!
Friday...the kids were in school, so we took a little field trip to IKEA!
We had breakfast..yummy and cheap. It was buy one for $1.99 and get one free!
Coffee is always free. A full fledge breakfast with all the fixins and coffee
was $2.14 (total) for David and me! What?
Then we shopped around. Got lots of great ideas. Bought a few trinkets....and got finished in time to stop by the grocery store before meeting the kiddos back home!
Adult field trips are so much fun....maybe next time we'll pack a lunch and head to the Zoo or the Water Park....well, maybe a museum, how's that?
Where would you like to go for an adult field trip?
Hooray for Ikea! I love it there and would totally be up for an adult field trip there. :) The closest one is 4 1/2 hrs away, but luckily my brother lives there :).
ReplyDeleteI just found out there is an Ikea near Cincinnati. You can believe I will be there soon! Have a great day! La
ReplyDeleteI love adult field trips. . .going to a ball game, just adults is one of my favs!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures make me want to make the 2 hour trek to IKEA. . .maybe soon!
Sounds like a fun day!!! I am simply going to have to find an IKEA because everyone seems to be talking about them!
ReplyDeleteNever been to an IKEA...so I guess that is what I would pick for my adult field trip! or Pottery Barn....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day
I've never been to an IKEA either! They have breakfast there too? Sounds like a fun day! I have to find that store...I bet there's one in Philly.
ReplyDeleteI was very envious of this post. I couldn't think of a better adult field trip destination. I'm hoping yours wasn't a five hour drive like ours is. Makes for a very long drive. But we manage one at least a couple of times a year.

I just love IKEA. What a great field trip!
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds like a fun little outing! I miss IKEA. :( We don't have one out here and the last time I checked, they don't ship to Hawaii, either. Booooooooo! They have such cool items at fantastic prices (and you scored on the super affordable breakfasts, too)!
ReplyDeleteOh man. A field trip with adults. It would have to include somewhere we could talk...and not be too fancy....and not cost a lot of money. Okay, so I think Ikea would be it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a great day @ IKEA Jen! How nice that you were able to take an adult field trip. I agree - their breakfasts are great and a must for any IKEA trip. I guess I haven't been paying attention though, because I had no idea that the coffee was free!
ReplyDeleteIKEA is the best adult playground ever! When i lived in Massachusetts a friend organized a girl day and we rented a bus and went for the day. we came back with lots of goodies and good memories. your story brought it all back! Thanks,
ReplyDeleteIKEA sounds like a great adult field trip! I've never tried the breakfast...but for $1.99, you can bet I will soon! (Sometimes we go there just to eat!)
