A Teenage Brain!

Me:   Uhmmmm....Emily! What in the world is that?

Em:   Oh my gosh...No way...So that is where I left my popsicle. I had it earlier, then I put it down to go to the bathroom, then I forgot that I had even had it. Oh well!

I have heard about the problems with the teenage brain. The hormones, the mood swings, the forgetfullness, the whatevers and no big deals.... but now I have seen what it looks like! And it is super messy!  It makes a mess of everything. It must be dealt with carefully...as to not make a bigger mess.
I am learning.
I am accepting helpful hints and words of wisdom from those who have made it through these wonderful years!

Have a great week!

  1. Hmmmm, so when does that start? I've had teenaged boys, but not a teenaged girl before. She is only 11 1/2, but something is going on... A good attitude, like you seem to have, has got to help :)

  5. Hahahaha! Gross! One time my mother fell asleep with a chocolate covered toffee in her hand and it melted in the bed. My sister thought she would do her a favor by making the bed for her and was totally freaked out by the "mystery stain" on the sheets. We still laugh about it.

  7. ok, that's really funny - and I say that b/c this EXACT phenomenon has already happened with my 12 year old, it just started this summer ... as I say all the time these days: must be the hormones?! I better buckle up, this is gonna be a bumpy ride!

  10. Funny! The rumors aren't just rumors they are real. My hubby has studied lots about teen ager's brains (since he is a high school principal) and they do absolutely crazy things, Something about their frontal lobes are in conflict/changing/not operating correctly, he tells me they don't get "normal" again until about 23 or so. Sorry. I am dreading those days because of that. Crazy thing, I think my kids would do the exact same thing and they are a few years away from teendom. **sigh**
