I confess!
I have a really old cell phone, but enough with the jokes! Ha! Ha!
I happen to like my cell phone. I have a loyal personality ....and have become quite attached to this little phone.
The photo on the screen is of Emily when she was 6. She is now 14. Ha! Ha!
I know how to use it, I have a non-annoying ring tone, the little antenna is oh so retro (and retro is in style these days) and I can find it deep in my purse because it is nicely oversized.
I do have to attach the charger just so....in order that it stays connected to completely charge (that is a little annoying) but I am used to that...and of course, I can't get another charger to fit at this point.
I can't text very well without the keypad, but I like to talk to people anyway.
The best part is...I am not tied into to any cell phone contract! I can get a new fancy phone anytime I want to! Ha! Ha!
That's what annoys my family the most.
Feeling great to be out of date!
Enjoy your day!
how awesome that you haven't changed the photo of your daughter. . .its like a little time capsule.
ReplyDeleteI am notoriously hard on cell phones. . .dropped one in the ocean even!!
I'm with you Jen! I got my old cell phone when I was pregnant...now he's 7 and I still have it! My husband bought me a new fancy phone for my birthday and I tried it out for 3 days and then returned it and got my old phone back! All I need it for is to make a call...no texting...I don't even know how to do that!
ReplyDeleteoh Jen, that is funny! I'm pretty sure I had that cell phone. Love that your daughter's picture is from when she was 6! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Even though I am a gadget girl, I always get a little sad when I have to part with an old cell phone. I am always resistant to change!
ReplyDeleteHoney....come to the light! Guess who?!
ReplyDeleteAfter my Motorola (whatever version it is) died out I have become somewhat of a phone connoisseur. However, my phone of choice is now the Crackberry(ooops...Blackberry). I just killed my old one and a new one is on the way and it's PURPLE! Can't beat that...unless of course it was pink and green.
ReplyDeleteI have a pretty old one too. You are so funny. at least you text. I don't even do that. LOL
ReplyDeleteI held onto my phone for years--until it wouldn't even hold a small charge anymore. As it was dying I was at swim lessons and saw a little girl playing with a cell phone, her mom said it was an old piece of junk, and it was a good toy because no one had that phone anymore, so it wouldn't get mixed up. Yeah, it was the same one in my pocket. It didn't even have a camera, it was that old.
ReplyDeleteI crossed to the dark side soon after, and joined the legions of texting, cellphone attached people. Now I am rarely without it, and I LOVE it-best part? I don't have a contract either, and it feels so free!
Cracks me up...because I have a really old cell too! I'm just not a gadget gal.
ReplyDeleteVery funny! I was cleaning out a cabinet the other day and 3 old cell phones came flying out! Just visiting from Girl Creative! Your blog is a great happy place!!
ReplyDeleteI miss my old oversized cell phone. It's now downstairs in the dress up tub. I have a new phone and regularly after trying to catch a call look at it and repeat, I hate my phone, I hate my phone. Sooo The Agronomist got me an iPhone. I haven't used it yet. It kind of scares me. Yours looks so much friendlier. I have just the right retro apron to go with it too.
ReplyDeleteDana
Me too! I just can't bring myself to buy an iphone!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I'm not a gadget girl, but I do have a cell phone with a full keyboard. The only thing I can do w/it is make a call and text. Everything else is a mystery to me.
ReplyDeletetoo funny!! i am with you!! very old phone...never can find it, and if i find it...its probably not charged!! no camera...and i don't know how to text...oh well!!! looks like i'm not alone at least!!!
ReplyDeleteI love a girl that rebels against technology being shoved down her throat. I am fighting it every step of the way.
