Eat my bubbles!

"Eat my bubbles!" They write it on their bodies in black sharpie marker!
"Help me with my swim cap." They ask each other for help.
"Do I have to swim Butterfly?" They hope and pray, we will say "Not tonight."
"Did you see me win?"  Even if we didn't...we say "Yes! You did Awesome!"
"Now, Can I go get my snack?" They ask many times until we give in....and Snack really means Candy!
"Where are my goggles?" We wonder how they keep up with anything.
"Did I beat my time?" Hopefully...cause it's worth a purple ribbon!
"Can I go to the playground?" Now someone is getting bored.
"When can we go home?" Not yet...because it is only 9:30 p.m.
"Did we win?"   Does it really matter? Of course, It matters!

I am so happy that my children have the opportunity to be a part of our neighborhood swim team.!
My oldest and youngest are team members, while my middle one plays baseball...and you know I love baseball!
I was an okay swimmer as a child. We were members of the pool down the street and I enjoyed playing and hanging out with friends....but I never had the privilege of being a part of a swim team until now.
It is truly a blast. It brings our neighborhood together....and gives us all such a great sense of community!
The season is just starting....and we are already off to a great start!

Lovin' Summer!

  4. I LOVE swimming. Any sport or activity that takes place in the ocean or the water....that's for me. That's what growing up on an island with a pro surfer father will do for ya.

  6. Holy huge border...how did you do that?! They look awesome! We lived across the street from the neighborhood pool when I was growing up. Well, my parents lived across the street...I lived at the pool. I swam on the team for 8 yrs. I wish my son was a swimmer...he's a good swimmer but has zero interest in being on the team!
    Have a great weekend!
