Kids Bathroom goes from fish to dogs?

For several months years, the kids have been asking for me to update their bathroom.
The Pottery Barn fish have been retired and the Spa Dogs have taken over.
I decided that while the update was in progress,  it was also time to replace the light fixture and mirror ~ most likely the very ones that have been there since the house was built in 1986. I knew that black cabinets would make an impact too. The only things left to do are replace the faucet and tile the floor....they are on the "someday" list.
Here is the "Before"...
 And the "After"...
I am happy with the change.
The light fixture is my favorite, purchased at Lowes.  I found the mirror at Kirklands, on sale for $39.00. Yippee! The Spa Dog prints were at Hobby Lobby. I have also seen them at World Market and Michaels.
Emily made the window curtain with her sewing machine. The other accessories... shower curtain, rug and soap dispenser came from Target!
A lot of bang for little bucks.
I love this kind of re-do!
Don't you?

  1. Your bathroom looks great! You did get a lot of bang for your buck. Of course you started with an awesome paint color.

I've been working on a makeover of our master bathroom. Slowly it is coming together!
