It's snowing on my blog!

Hellooooooo there!
Happy New year!
Even though the snow has finally melted and we are back into the 60's around here.....
it is still snowing on my blog!
Sloan noticed it...Did you?

I found this little snow tip on one of my favorite "bloggy help" blogsites.
Go here to check it out!

I feel like I have been just out of the loop the last few weeks.

I have really enjoyed the downtime and the non-schedule of the holidays, but I am ready to get back to my routine...and my routine could use a little revamping as well.
I am not ready to declare any goals just yet, but I am looking foward to catching up with all of you and reading about your hopes and dreams and good intentions for this year!

And...I am also looking forward to getting my house restored to it's pre-holiday look....you know...minus the droopy tree, the half eaten Christmas goodies, the piles of presents and gift bags and stuff, and the many mini lights hanging on the bushes and trees.
We have never been the type to rush the Christmas tree out to the curb....but it really is about time.
What about you?
Your decorations...are they tucked safely away for next year...or are they still hanging around?

It's great to be back in the loop!
Enjoy your week.

  1. Jen, we are in the same boat here at the Bungalow. I too like to keep things up for awhile after Christmas, but today I felt like it was time. We have a fake tree so its the last to go. I take all the ornaments off and enjoy just the white twinkly lights for awhile. Its really nice to have in the corner, as it is dark so early here. I'm thinking of a word for the New year, and I've finally figured it out. I'm going to post about it soon. Off to take down the stockings.
    Take care,
    Dana

  2. I spent some time today "unChristmasing". But it will be awhile before I dig myself out of the Christmas clutter!

Love the snow and thanks for kind comment, it hasn't always been so easy for me to verbalize the blessings. It's like everything else, it takes practice.

  4. Love that it's "snowing" on your blog. That's so fun! I did that last year for Christmas since we hardly see snow this far South I figured it might as well snow on my blog! Haha!

That's such a fun picture too!

    Happy New Year, Jen!

  8. What a pretty picture! Our decorations were supposed to be down, but it rained so hard it delayed us getting them down and put away. We'll work on it slowly over the week.

  10. Decorations are securely in the attic. It was an uncharacteristic burst of productivity. I think the kids were afraid.

Glad you are back. Happy New Year!

  11. Love the snow....I was just looking for some of that...I had it last year and couldn't find the link! Thanks!!:)
Yep, Christmas is all done and put away....it has been since the 27th!!! I know, way early, but we were heading to Chicago and the thought of coming home from vacation to a Christmasy house was just to much for my brain!!:)
I know the "coming back after being unplugged" feeling...it's hard to fit it all in again.:)
Happy New Year and welcome back!!
    Enjoy the day

  12. It snowed quite a bit here last week. It's starting to clear up just in time for the next storm front coming in on the weekend.
I'm going to need some new snow tires to gear up for this stuff. I HATE driving in it.

  13. I love your snowy blog, cute! Our decorations are put away but I haven't had any motivation to get our regular stuff out, so we have a bare mantle and dusty table tops, oh well, it will get done eventually.

  14. I'm so glad the riddle of the falling snow has been solved - I thought maybe I was developing cataracts!! One of my 2011 goals is to learn more about the technical side of blogging (the photo edits, the setup and design, the personalized headers, etc) ... I can't wait to check out your link, thanks!

and, PS, yeah, we're pretty behind and overwhelmed with the Christmas packup ... there never seems to be enough room to put all the new stuff, so I think we're due for a major PURGE before i lose my mind!!

  15. I've been working on taking down the decorations this afternoon. The thought packing everything back up always makes me sad, but the house seems so much cleaner now. I love it!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
