An almost white Christmas!

Most of the time it doesn't snow in the Carolinas until mid January.
This year, my sweet little neighbor asked Santa for snow on Christmas!

It was about 9 pm on Christmas Day when it started SNOWING!
The weather channel predicted only a dusting....but by the morning after Christmas...we had a substantial amount of snow on the ground!
And it is still hanging around.

We had a wonderful Christmas....although all of us said at least once or twice "It just doesn't feel like Christmas." I'm not sure if it just came too fast or we were just too crazy around here to savor the season.
We are all home this week and enjoying being together...and for that, I am really glad!

The New Year is just around the corner.
I'd like to make a few goals, not resolutions, goals....with real benchmarks to shoot for, so that they don't get lost in the mix. I need to do a little soul searching. It could be exciting.

Have a happy day!

  2. It looks like a wet snow the way it is hanging on the branches. It make the trees look so pretty.

I had someone tell me this morning they aren't resolutions, but solutions. Happy New Year! La

  8. We didn't get any snow either, which is odd for Colorado. However, not to fret...it's on its way I hear. I'm sure we will get a blizzard right before the kids have to go back to school.

  13. HI there, Jen ... I've loved catching up over here after so many days being unplugged ... how in the world do you add that "snow" effect across the pics?! It's very cool! I loved seeing the chicken wire pictures, those were great shots and what a beautiful neighborhood - and this really IS a lot of snow - looks so pretty!!

Merry (Belated) Christmas and Happy New Year to you!!
