100 Degree Bike Ride! Whew!

Another check mark on the Summer List!

We've been meaning to do it...and Saturday was the day. We geared up with water bottles and cold rags. Instead of biking to the park, we decided to bike to Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins so that we could have an ice cream treat to cool us down for the ride back!

Our ride was through neighborhoods and on sidewalks...mostly. We only had to cross 2 busy streets...so it wasn't too stressful! I didn't hear much complaining or arguing thankfully! That in itself made the trip pleasurable despite the humidity and 100 degree temperatures!

On the way back, we stopped by our neighbor's house to tour that fabulous tree house again! Everyone loved it! And while we were there....we skyped....craziness. Our neighbor is a soldier in Iraq...and he was talking/skyping with his sweet family when we arrived, so we got to say hello! Can you believe technology? What a huge blessing for their family!

Have a wonderful week and hug the one's you're with!

  2. An ice cream would get me on my bike too. Yep. It would.

  3. I love your list and box for the checking off. I'll try to remember that for next year. Biking to go get ice cream is a good idea in my book. Look at your little man's face, it's as red as the table top. My little guy would be complaining the whole way. He needs to get out more, but he gets heat exhaustion very easily, so maybe we'll wait until it cools off.
